The Furry Dance - Bodmin Riding and The Children's Dance

The Children's Dance was revived in 2016 for Bodmin Heritage Day, taking the steps remembered by Justine Stephens of Bodmin as very popular back in the 1980's, with high school participation.

The Dance

Step: 1-2-3-hop
Formation: sets of 4, two behind two in a procession, right hand hold

• Forward for 4 steps
• Right hand star in your set of four for 2 steps
• Left hand star in your set of four for 2 steps
• Repeat until it's time to stop!

The Words

These were the words chanted as the dance progressed:

• One-two-three-hop, one-two-three-hop, one-two-three-hop, one-two-three-hop
• Round-and-round-and-round-we-go . . . 
• . . . and-back-the-other-way

The Tune
